Barron Trump Reportedly Called UK Police After Witnessing Woman Allegedly Attacked on Video Call; Incident Under Review in Ongoing Trial

Barron Trump, the youngest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, reportedly contacted British emergency services after he said he witnessed a woman being attacked during a video call. The incident reportedly took place on January 18, 2025, and was detailed in testimony at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.

According to court testimony, Trump, who was in the United States at the time, dialed UK emergency services after receiving a FaceTime call from the woman. He is reported to have alerted authorities that she was being assaulted by a man at an address in east London.

The alleged attacker has been identified in court as 22-year-old Matvei Rumiantsev, who has denied charges including assault, intentional strangulation, and rape. Proceedings in the case are ongoing and no conviction has been announced.

Police body-worn camera footage played in the hearing reportedly captured the woman identifying herself as a friend of Trump’s to responding officers. Trump’s 999 (UK emergency) call was also played during proceedings.

During testimony, the woman said she believed Trump’s actions helped prompt the police response, but this account reflects her statement in court and has not been independently verified outside the ongoing trial.
