Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix exited an NFL game after sustaining an ankle injury and did not return to action. The team confirmed during the game that Nix was being evaluated, with no immediate confirmation of a fracture or season-ending diagnosis.
The injury occurred during live play, and Nix was assisted off the field before heading to the locker room. Denver later listed the issue as an ankle injury, while further medical imaging remained under review.
Head coach Sean Payton said after the game that Nix’s status would be determined following additional evaluation. The Broncos did not confirm whether the injury involved a broken or fractured ankle.
With Nix sidelined, backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham entered the game and handled the remaining snaps. Stidham is listed as the primary backup on the Broncos quarterback depth chart.
The Broncos did not announce a timetable for Nix’s return or whether surgery would be required. Any update on his availability for upcoming games is expected after further medical assessment.
